DIMA's Business migration scheme is for persons with a proven business background either overseas and/or in Australia.
This background may be either as a:
*Business Owner or
*Investor
State/Territory Government organisations may sponsor an individual's business or else there are other visa categories that can be applied for without Government sponsorship.
In many circumstances, an individual must first apply for a temporary business visa and then after proving themselves in Australia may be eligible to apply for a business visa which will provide them with permanent residency of Australia.
The Business migration scheme also includes the:
*Business (Long Stay) visa - subclass 457 for temporary residency of Australia;and
*Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa - subclass 856 visa for permanent residency
After holding a Business (Long Stay) visa an individual may then be sponsored by an eligible Australian business to apply for an ENS visa which will provide them with permanent residency of Australia.
